%X Combined with the new idea of urbanization development and by adopting coordinated development degree to make comprehensive evaluation, the new-type urbanization evaluation system is put forward, which includes two dimensions, namely the average development and the differences of urban and rural areas An empirical study on the new-type urbanization level is done in 31 regions in 2014~2017, based on the data from China Statistical Yearbook The following conclusions can be obtained: 1The development level of new-type urbanization is not simply equal to the level of economic development, but there is also a dilemma of “Hu Huanyong Line” and the gap tends to be bigger; 2There is still a mismatch between the average development level and the differences between urban and rural areas in nearly 50% of China; 3The deficiencies of the development of new-type urbanization in each region are different Based on the conclusions, two suggestions are put forward on the construction of new-type urbanization
